Due to humanity forgetting about his existence, Pitch became so vengeful to the point where he vowed to hate the Guardians until the end of time and would stop at nothing to kill them (which he repeatedly proved several times throughout the movie).He is a powerful master of terror due to humanity's great fear of the dark in the times before the Guardians.
